1849-1850: Rev. Nehemiah Doane

Reverend Nehemiah Doane was selected to replace James Wilbur as principal and teacher at the Oregon Institute by the Mission Board while in his senior year at the Methodist Biblical Institute at Concord, New Hampshire. At the Institute he was assisted by his wife, and served as a member of the board of trustees.
