Top:
Coin engraved by Euainetos, Sicily, Syracuse. ca. 408-390 BCE. Decadrachm,
(obverse) Head of Persephone left, wearing earring and necklace; hair turned up and behind, arranged in wavy curls, and bound with a wreath of corn-leaves; beneath, traces of an inscription; four dolphins: border of dots.
(reverse) Quadriga left, driven by charioteer holding goad and reins; horses in high action; above, Nike flying right, about to crown the charioteer; in exergue, a ledge or step, on and against which is placed a suit of defensive armour, consisting of a helmet and shield, cuirass and greaves. Beneath, an inscription: border of dots.

Coin engraved by Kimon in Sicily, Syracuse. 405-367 BC. AR Tetradrachm.
(obverse) Quadriga left, driven by charioteer, holding goad in right hand, reins in both, touching with goad the head of the third horse; horses prancing; above, Nike flying right, about to crown charitoeer; on line of exergue, inscription: plain border.
(reverse) Head of Arethusa, three-quarter-face left, wearing earring and necklace; hair flowing in loose tresses; across her forehead, ampyx with inscription; around, four dolphins, two on either side, swimming among the locks of hair: border of dots, lower half of which are double struck.
