Academic Search Premier
1. Conduct a search.
2. Click the "Add" icon to the right of any results you want to
save.
3. Click the "Folder has items" link at the top of the page when
you are ready to export.
4. Check the boxes of the references to export (to verify that you want
all of these references).
5. Click the "Export" link (right side of page).
6. Select "Direct Export to RefWorks."
7. Click "Save" to initiate a direct export.
8. Log into RefWorks.

1. View a citation you wish to save in full format.
2. Click the link to Display in BibTeX format.
3. If you have multiple records you want to import, copy and paste the results
into a Document and Save As a plain text .txt file.
4. Log in to RefWorks.
5. Select References/Import from the toolbar.
6. Select BibTeX as the data source and ACM Digital Library as the database.
7. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
8. Click Import.
9. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
For Direct Export:

Format drop-down menu.
6. Click "Download."
7. Click "Export to RefWorks."

Annual Reviews
Note: Only one record at a time will be saved.
1. Mark the record you wish to save by clicking the checkbox.
2. Click on Download to Citation Manager.
3. Choose Reference Manager format and citations with abstracts.
4. Navigate to the local drive and directory where you want to save the
file; it will be saved as a .ris file.
5. Click Save.
6. Log in to RefWorks.
7. Select References/Import from the toolbar.
8. Select RIS Format as the data source and Reference Manager as the database.
9. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
10. Click Import.
11. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

1. Perform a search and open the results.
2. Select the records you want to export.
3. Click Export (bottom of page).
4. In the box that opens, click Export.
5. Another box will open with the text of the records. Highlight and copy
all of the info in the box
6. Log in to RefWorks.
7. Select References and Import from the toolbar.
8. Select L'Annee Philologique as the import filter.
9. Select L'Annee Philologique as the database.
9. Paste the text of the records into the "Import Data from the Following
Text" box.
10. Click Import.
11. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

2. Click on the title that you want to import.
3. Click HTML Version and More Information (bottom of page).

4. Click Download Citation (middle of page).
5. Citation Export: Format dropdown = Plain Text; Export Type = Abstract & Citation; File Type = PC. Then click Go.
6. Save the document to your computer.
7. Login to RefWorks.
8. Click Reference (top left of page), and select Import.
9. Import: Import Filter/Data Source dropdown = Willamette University; Database = Wiley Interscience [Wiley Interscience]; Import References into Folder = Specify Folder (optional)
10. Browse to get the file you want to import.
11. Click Import.
12. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

4. Click Export This Citation.
5. Select RefWorks (make sure your browser does not block the popup. Click Options & allow pop-ups.)
6. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

1. Conduct a search.
2. Click Marked List (top of page) when you are ready to export.
3. On the Marked Records Output Options Form, leave the bold fields checked.
Check the abstract field if you want to include it in your database.
4. Leave the other fields and then click the Save to File button.
5. A box should automatically appear, but if not click the Save button.
You will need to save file as a .txt file to your computer through Notepad.
Click OK and then in the Notepad, select File and Save As. Choose an
appropriate drive and file name, and make sure you save the file type as
a .TXT file. Click Save.
6. Log in to RefWorks.
7. Select References/Import from the toolbar
8. Select Web of Science [ISI (Institute for Scientific Information)]
as the database.
9. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
10. Click Import. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

12. For the Database, select PsycInfo.

1. After you perform your search and are at the results window, click Save/Print/E-mail
link.
2. Select either Marked References or Use Records from the Current Search.
3. Select Full Format.
4. Scroll down the page and select the file type you want and click Save.
5. You will be prompted to either Open or Save the file (which is already
named and is a text file).
If you select open, then the references appear in your browser window
and from the File menu select Save As.
6. Select the location where you want to save the file, type the name you
want and select Text as the Save As Type.
7. Log in to RefWorks.
8. Select References/Import from the toolbar.
9. Select CSA as the data source and the appropriate database as the database.
10. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
11. Click Import.
12. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

Click the Export to RefWorks button (bottom of page).
6. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
To Manually Save and Export Records:
1. After you perform your search, marked the records you want, and are
at the results window, click Save/Print/E-mail link.
2. Select either Marked References or Use Records from the Current Search.
3. Select Full Format.
4. Scroll down the page and select the file type you want and click Save.
5. You will be prompted to either Open or Save the file (which is already
named and is a text file).
If you select open, then the references appear in your browser window
and from the File menu select Save As.
6. Select the location where you want to save the file, type the name you
want and select Text as the Save As Type.
7. Log in to RefWorks.
8. Select References/Import from the toolbar.
9. Select CSA as the data source and the appropriate database as the database.
10. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
11. Click Import.
12. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

1. Conduct a search.
2. Check the boxes of the records you want to save.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page when you are finished selecting
records to the Results Manager Box. (You do not have to save for
every page)
4. Check the following boxes: Selected Results, Complete Reference,
and Ovid (Export Format).
5. Click "Save" to initiate a direct export.
6. Select appropriate Style Linefeed (Windows for Windows computers, etc)
and click Continue.
7. Select Save to Disk.
8. Log into RefWorks.
9. Click on References.
10. Click Import.
11. For the Import Filter, select Ovid.
12. For the Database, select PsycInfo.
13. Click Browse and select your file.
14. Click Import.

1. Conduct a search
2. Mark the citations you want to import, and click "Add to Marked
List" (right side of screen, in the Output Records box). NOTE: To export
references from multiple pages, click "Add to Marked List" for
each page that has references you marked.
3. Click the Marked List icon (top of page) to export.
4. In the Output Options page, add the abstract field, and click the Save
to File button.
5. Save the .txt file to your computer (note pad default works best).
6. Log in to RefWorks.
7. Click References and select Import.
8. Select ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) as the data source
and Web of Science as the database.
9. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer and click on
Open.
10. Click Import.
11. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.

First install RefGrab-It:
1. Navigate to the RefGrab-It page http://www.refworks.com/Refworks/BookMarklet.asp.
2. Follow the installation instructions for your browser for RefGrab-It.
To import website citations:
3. Conduct a search for a website.
4. After finding your website click on RefGrab-It on the links page of
the toolbar.
5. This captures the available citation information for this website.
6. Click "Import" and then "OK" to import the citations
into RefWorks.
Note: The Citations imported by RefGrab-It are by no means comprehensive
and need further manual entry of bibliographic data to be complete citations.
To do this: click on "Last Imported Citations" and then look to
the right of the screen and click the "edit" link. This will
open a template that will allow you to add information to each of your
citations.

on.
4. Select Text as the file type.
5. Click Save.
6. Log in to RefWorks.
7. Select References/Import from the toolbar.
8. Select OCLC FirstSearch as the data source and select the appropriate
database.
9. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
10. Click Import.
11. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
