Netflix Service
The Hatfield Library offers faculty access to Netflix, a movie rental service. Using Netflix will allow you access to their extensive collection of over 80,000 titles combined with speedy delivery time. This service is designed for instructional purposes only; it is not intended for recreational or home use. Netflix is not intended as a substitution for a strong in house collection of videos in our library. It may be very useful for last minute film needs or for a film you would like to show to your class one time but don't feel that there is an ongoing need to have the film in the library's collection. How it works:
- Find a video on Netflix. Choose "Browse Selection" and use the "Search for Movies" box.
- Fill in the request form one week before you need the DVD.
- When the DVD arrives, you will receive an email from us. The DVD will be checked out to you for 7 days and placed on the hold shelf at Circulation. After three business days on the hold shelf, the video will be returned to Netflix.
- Pick up the DVD at the Circulation Desk and return it on or before the due date. We have a limited amount of films that we can borrow at any given time so prompt return of the DVD is crucial. One 7-day renewal is allowed.
Additional information:
- DVDs cannot be placed on reserve.
- If a DVD is lost or not returned within 30 days, you will be billed a $50 lost fee.
